HARBORNE LIBRARY TRUST
A BETTER FUTURE FOR HARBORNE LIBRARY
The Harborne Library Trust (HLT) was formed to support retaining Harborne Library in its current location following the proposal to close the existing building and co locate the library elsewhere. Its Objectives are:
1. To improve the conditions of life for the public in Harborne and its surrounding area through the provision of activities for the advancement of education, recreation and social welfare.
2. To support the preservation and continued use of the library building for the benefit of the public in Harborne and its neighbourhood.
HLT have been engaging with BCC on potential additional uses for the library and have been permitted free access to assess potential opportunities. HLT have conducted numerous visits during which the views expressed for the additional activities the building could support have been incredibly positive.
